Swanand Jankalyan started functioning by organising lecture series on various social, cultural environmental & National subjects and also organising Fun camps for children since 2010. With this increased participation of volunteers and with the enthusiasm of volunteers, operations in various Seva Vastis (Slum Areas) in & around the Sinhgad Road area started in June 2016. The objective of Swanand is to bridge the gap among the communities.
To begin with, a detailed Survey of the various Seva Vasti’s were conducted to understand the local problems & their routine challenges. The outcome of the survey suggested the need for developing interest among the children towards education and working on behavioural issues of these children.
Our vision at Swanand Jankalyan Pratishthan is to put all our efforts to bridge the gap among various sections of society and bring equality in the communities through various upliftment programs for underprivileged & economically deprived communities by providing structured development programs and platforms. We aim to create social harmony through a unique development model.
- Focus on the social & cultural development of children the age 3 to 12 years through well-organized and well-structured ‘Samruddhi Varg’ as we believe this is the right age to inculcate values like changing attitude, habits, behavioural aspects and learning skills through persistent and consistent efforts.
- Create mentoring and counselling structure for working with children & adolescents providing handholding through Experts and professionals via our Kishor Darpan Project.
- Organize social events, functions, gatherings, and camps to provide handshake opportunities & cultural exchanges for all sections of society to bridge the gap aligned with our vision
